Mission Statement
“A surprising number of people believe that foot pain is natural or something to be expected after a hard day at work. But pain is not natural, and I would like to see my patients sooner instead of later, before their condition worsens. The sooner treatment begins, the sooner you start to feel better. Many patients’ conditions are diagnosed without expensive tests, and we start their therapy the same day they see us. Isn’t that better than putting up with sore feet year after year? That is why Dr. Meredith, Dr. Santiago, and I are so dedicated to continuing education in our field. We have the specialized training to treat most any foot or ankle problem efficiently and with a minimum of discomfort. We care for people, not just feet! We try to make our special care as convenient as possible so that all can benefit from what we have to offer.”
- David R. Kirlin, DPM
What to Expect
Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It also will help relieve any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling. Educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on this Web site. Also, take some time to review our staff page and familiarize yourself with the doctors. We look forward to your first visit.
Appointments
It is often helpful to our patients to think about the specific concerns before they come in and make a list of questions for the doctor to answer during the examination. If you require x-rays, the receptionist will ask you to come into the office 15 or 30 minutes early so that they may be done before you see the doctor. Routine appointments should be made well in advance. If you are unable to keep you appointment or are going to be late, please call as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to be of service to other patients.
Please be sure to bring your insurance card, referral if required by your insurer, workers compensation authorization if needed, and a list of medications you presently take.
If another physician has referred you here, please see that he or she sends your records. The physician who referred you will receive a letter discussing your problem and our treatment plan. They will be kept informed of your progress when indicated.
