Dr. Kamel Muhyeddin, DPM

Dr. Kamel Muhyeddin is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon with advanced

training in comprehensive podiatric medicine and surgery. He will be joining Gaston

Foot & Ankle in July 2026 and will see patients in the Gastonia, North Carolina office.

Originally from Charlotte, Dr. Muhyeddin is excited to return home after completing his

medical training in Chicago.

Dr. Muhyeddin earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Wingate University

before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Dr. William M. Scholl

and surgery residency with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle training at Ascension Saint

Joseph Hospital in Chicago, where he also served as Chief Resident.

Throughout his training, Dr. Muhyeddin assisted in and performed over 800 surgical

procedures, gaining extensive experience in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle reconstruction,

trauma care, limb salvage, and minimally invasive techniques. He has a strong clinical

interest in trauma and complex cases, enjoying the problem-solving process that helps

restore stability, function, and quality of life for his patients. He is also experienced in

advanced wound care and inpatient hospital-based care.

Dr. Muhyeddin chose podiatry for its unique balance of medicine and surgery and the

immediate impact on their daily lives. He is known for his thoughtful, patient-centered

approach and collaborative style of care.

He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the American

College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), and the North Carolina Foot and Ankle

Society (NCFAS), and is board-eligible with the American Board of Foot and Ankle

Surgery (ABFAS).

Outside of the office, Dr. Muhyeddin enjoys staying active through fitness training and

MMA, following football, basketball, and Formula 1, and spending time with his wife and

family. A fun fact—he has traveled to over 20 countries and counting.
